「Pimo(*) Dictionary」は、「Experimental Relationship」の延長線上にあるもので、中国人であるリャオと日本人の彼氏であるモロの日々の会話に出てくる言葉をまとめた辞典です。
お互いの母語は中国語と日本語ですが、アメリカに住むゆえに普段は英語でコミュニケーションをしています。ただ、ちゃんと自分たちの気持ちを表したり、お互いのことを理解する点において、ふたりの英語は十分であるとは言えません。そのため、中国語・日本語・英語・スラングなど色んなものをハイブリッドさせた言葉をふたりは使っています。
この「辞典」は、ふたりの言葉の言語的規則や特徴をまとめ、また視覚的にもわかりやすくしているものとなっています。
* 「Pimo(ピモ)」とは、ふたりの名前、ピクシーとモロ、の頭文字を組み合わせた言葉です。

Pimo Dictionary is an extension of Experimental Relationship. It is a dictionary of our daily language. My mother language is Mandarin, and Moro’s mother language is Japanese. Usually we communicated with each other in English. Neither of our English is good enough to completely express ourselves or understand each other. So we come up with a hybrid of Chinese/Japanese/English/mantra/slang language. The dictionary works as a visual & textual manual for our own coded language and mannerisms.

Pixy Liao（ピクシー・リャオ）は、中国・上海で生まれ育った。メンフィス大学（アメリカ）で写真を専攻。現在、アメリカ・ニューヨークを拠点としている。NYFA FellowshipやEn Foco's New Works Fellowship、LensCulture Exposure Awardsなどを受賞。何香凝美術館（中国）、セックス美術館（アメリカ）、アジア・ソサエティ（アメリカ）など、国内外で作品展示をしてきた。

Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Pixy Liao is an artist currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is a recipient of NYFA Fellowship in photography, En Foco's New Works Fellowship and LensCulture Exposure Awards, etc.
