チャン・ズーヂョウは、写真家「Q」「M」「K」「T」「S」という５人の架空の物語を作り上げた。もちろん架空の写真家たちということではあるが、５人の持ち合わせた資質のさまざまな要素はすべて、チャンの中に存在していた。
チャンは、それぞれの写真家のキャラクターへと没入し、彼らの目と体を借りて、チャン自身の家族のアルバムや昔撮った写真の一部を再構成したり、チャンが写真やスクリーンショットを撮って、ゆるやかな構造で比較的独立したそれぞれの写真集を作りあげた。それらを１冊にまとめたものが本書になる。

I created five fictional stories of photographers Q, M, K, T, and S. Some of the qualities of photographers Q, M, K, T, and S all existed within me at some point in time. I entered their roles to magnify and interpret these qualities, borrowing their eyes and bodies to re-visit my family albums and some of the photographs I took a long time ago, and taking photos and screenshots to form four loosely structured and relatively independent picture collections. These images were taken out of their original functions and visual contexts and subsequently eroded by the aesthetic experiences of the photographers Q, M, K, T, and S.
